Dr. Alexandra M. Burrel serves as the lead consultant focusing on organizational and educational development, as well as cultural competency.

She most recently served as Associate Vice President and Chief Diversity; Equity, & Inclusion Office at the University of La Verne. Her 16-year higher education career has focused on diversity & inclusion, student development, recruiting, institutional event planning, and administration while working with institutions of higher education. 

In addition to her current role, Dr. Burrel provides educational advising, counseling referral as well as diversity, equity, and inclusion consulting services under her Limited Liability Company (LLC), A M Burrel Consulting. She also supports organizations that provide services in alignment with her LLC such as Caleb’s Kids as a member of the Board of Directors, A Path to Peace as a licensed professional counselor and therapist, and many others with workshops, trainings, and leadership development. She completed her Doctor of Philosophy in Higher Education Administration from Morgan State University, Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and her Master of Arts in Counselor Education: College Counseling both from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI. Dr. Burrel is dedicated to meeting the needs of her students and clients while continuing to work daily to add to the success and development of herself and others.
